In recent years, international labour law has increasingly moved into the focus of jurisprudence and legal practice. A large number of legal acts influence national labour and constitutional law as well as European Union law. This work lays out not only international labour law and related fields of law, but also its reception by jurisprudence. The law of the United Nations, the International Labour Organization, the Council of Europe (the European Social Charter and the European Convention on Human Rights) as well as labour law references in trade and investment protection agreements are presented. Opportunities for calling on these legal acts and the respective procedural law are likewise considered, while at the same time great attention is paid to the analysis and presentation of the reception of these legal acts by the case law of the German Federal Labour Court, the European Court of Human Rights, the Federal Constitutional Court and the European Court of Justice. The practical handling in labour court proceedings is also described.
