Il regolamento (UE) 2020/1783 sull’assunzione delle prove all'estero in materia civile e commerciale si appresta a sostituire il regolamento (CE) n. 1206/2001, semplificandone e accelerandone ulteriormente i processi. Prevede un sistema informatico decentrato destinato a ridurre tempi e costi della trasmissione dei documenti fra autorità di Stati diversi. Il volume, realizzato nell’ambito del progetto EJNita – Building Bridges, finanziato dall’Unione europea, dà conto innanzitutto del processo di digitalizzazione della giustizia di cui il regolamento costituisce un'espressione, per poi analizzare – con un taglio attento alle esigenze dell’operatore – l’ambito di applicazione del nuovo regolamento e i vari procedimenti da esso previsti per l’assunzione delle prove. Un’appendice raccoglie la principale giurisprudenza della Corte di Giustizia dell’Unione europea relativa al tema trattato.
